OUTPATIENT PULMONARY REHABILITATION
An individualized care program is created for each patient and lasts from two to eight weeks, depending on the patient’s needs. The Respiratory Therapy department provides in-house staff coverage 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Kindred Hospital Dallas' inpatient and outpatient pulmonary rehabilitation programs offer a two to eight week specialized comprehensive treatment and educational plan for patients with lung diseases, such as emphysema, chronic bronchitis, asthma, cystic fibrosis and pre-/post-surgical lung reductions.
The programs are individually tailored to meet each of our patient’s needs. Kindred’s objective is to maximize the pulmonary potential and return each patient to the most productive level possible.

This department offers comprehensive treatment for diseases such as emphysema, COPD and other debilitating respiratory illnesses. An individualized treatment plan including energy conservation and education about the disease processes, including signs and symptoms, is included in this program. Diagnostic testing and evaluations are completed by our respiratory and rehabilitation staff.
Our outpatient program is located on the first floor of our hospital.
